KMFA Lecture — Forty Years of Photography

攝影師林炳存受邀至高雄市立美術館 #高美講堂 分享四十年攝影的演變。「時間是相對的，我們雖然不斷前進，在時間眼裡，我們卻是靜止不動。」是攝影師林炳存為《蒼藍小點》系列創作下的其中一個註腳，該系列作品受一夢境啟發，以旋轉、長時間曝光方式捕捉定格影像軌跡，將日常所見的人、石、水、植物幻化出奇異又迷人的光影肌理。其對時間感的描述，以及拍攝創作時的經驗方法，與《瞬間—穿越繪畫與攝影之旅》中關於攝影的瞬間悖論思考有著若隱若現的呼應；長時間曝光手法的運用，也讓人聯想到展場中杉本博司的《海景》系列。

Photographer Joshua Lin was invited to lecture at Kaohsiung Museum of Fine Arts (KMFA) on four decades of photographic evolution. "Time is relative—though we keep moving forward, in time's eyes we stand still," he notes of his A Pale Blue Dot series, which was inspired by a dream and uses rotation and long exposures to translate ordinary subjects—figures, stones, water, plants—into strange and luminous textures of light. His meditation on time echoes the central paradox of the museum's accompanying exhibition The Moment—A Journey Through Painting and Photography, while his use of extended exposure also resonates with Hiroshi Sugimoto's Seascapes shown in the same galleries.
