The world is materialistic. Money seems to be the weight that measures all standards. Everything can be traded, bought and sold, as long as you pay a price. You can have anything you want. Or so it seems.
From a tangible or practical point of view this may be so. But if you look at the intangible things that we value, perhaps you’ll see that many of the things we hold important are often not for sale. Youth, sincerity, courage, beliefs, the sunshine, companionship, romance, peace, and laughter. These things are intrinsically unable to be sold or bought.
In this issue we explore the different things that aren’t for sale.
For intangible elements we try to portray it through the use of imagery and photographic methods. We hope this issue can inspire you to think about what it is that you value, and what things to you are irreplaceable or “not for sale”?
